#3. Organization

Organization (noun): Every high school kids weakness.

In an AP class, especially AP Lang, it is VERY important to stay organized and on top of your assignments. You must keep your binder neat and clean so that way you can find your needed materials quickly and efficiently. In AP Lang, you are required to have a binder which contains 9 tabs. The teachers rely on you  to organize your binder and decide under what category (tab) you think each assignment/handout should go in. Being able to efficiently organize your binder will also save you the embarrassment of being that noisy kid who is frantically rummaging through his/her backpack to look for a certain worksheet. Good organizational skills in AP Lang are valuable because it keeps you up to date on all your assignments and allows you to reflect upon old assignments, such as previous essays and quizzes, that can help you prepare for a new and upcoming assessment. Also, maintaining your binder throughout the year it important because you may have binder checks.
